Sections

Notice the different fills used to make the building pop. Notice the thickness of the cut against the fine lines showing elements in elevation. This section is showing all elements cut through as black - no differentiation of material - because it is being used to describe the space, not the materials.

This section is not fantastic, but it does show photoshop being used well 1) to add trees 2) to fade the roof back. 5 minutes of photoshop can drastically improve a section taken from sketchup/rhino. Notice also the black line showing the basement has a lining that is different to the ground.

Nice simple section. Notice the line denoting shadow over the walls. Use the sketchup sun to cast interesting shadows over and through your steps. You just need to position it in the right way and it will drastically enhance your sections.
This is a good image to think about. Firstly it composes multiple images on a page. Secondly it has two versions of sections. Two of the small sections are blown up and more detail added. This is a lesson in how to add information and 'entourage' (ppl, furniture, trees ...) to describe how the space is used.
